The mission of the Children and Youth Ministry Team is to provide
Biblically-based ministries so the children, youth, and college students of our
church and community may experience the love of God and of His people and be
challenged to live as disciples of Jesus Christ.
Our ministry team seeks to provide opportunities
so each child will:
-
Learn that God loves each one of us.
-
Learn that the Bible is the Word of God.
-
Come to know Jesus as their personal Savior
and Lord.
-
Desire to obey and serve Jesus Christ.

Nursery
The nursery serves the youngest of our congregation each Sunday morning
during the Sunday School hour and during the morning worship time.

Sunday School
Sunday School for our youth is held each Sunday, September through May.
Five Sunday School classes are currently offered for children and youth:
Toddler (2- & 3-year-olds), Preschool-Kindergarten, Elementary (1st-4th grades),
Middle School (5th-8th grades), and Senior High. David C. Cook curriculum
materials are used.

Children's Church/Children's Sermon
Children's Church is offered for children in Preschool through 3rd grade
during the sermon time at the morning worship service the second and fourth
Sundays of each month and every Sunday during the summer months when no youth
Sunday School classes are held.

Pioneer Clubs
Pioneer Clubs meet during the school year on the first three Wednesday
evenings of each month at 5:30 for a light meal followed by our meeting from
5:50-7:00 p.m. We have four levels of clubs: Scooters (PreK-Kindergarten),
Voyagers (1st-2nd), Pathfinders (3rd-4th), and Trailblazers (5th-6th).
The primary goal of Pioneer Clubs is to enable children to
enter into a personal relationship with Christ and to know His Word.
Pioneer Clubs continue to be an outreach to children in surrounding communities.
We praise God for this opportunity to share the love of Jesus with neighborhood
children, teaching them as well as our own youth that "Thy Word is a lamp unto
my feet and a light unto my path." Psalm 119:105, the theme verse for Pioneer
Clubs.

Confirmation
Confirmation is taught Wednesday evenings at 6:00 at church by Pastor
Karl Freeberg for those in grades 7-8.

third Wednesdays of the month from approximately 7:00-9:00 p.m. at the church. Our leaders

Sunday School Christmas Program
The Sunday School Christmas Program was presented on Sunday, December 14
during the morning worship. Cindy Freeberg directed it with the help of many
other volunteers. The program was called "The Gift of Jesus."

Camping
Camping at Twin Lakes Christian Center continues to be a major emphasis
of our church. Joni Gerdes currently serves as our
Camp Coordinator. Just over 100 individuals (youth and adults) from our
church attended camps, retreats, or events at TLCC in 2008, many for more than
one event. Our church continues to pay half of the fee for all children
and youth who attend camps. Check out TLCC's website
